Is it possible for three unfamiliar artists, arriving in a new context for three months, to create a joint project? How to keep up with the changing themes you planned to work with, influenced by what you learn, who you meet, and whom you tell about your project? Kristina Sukharinova, Adel Suleymanova, and Pasha Shin, artists who arrived at the Typography collective residency in April, are making their public statement, which has changed its form and elements but was unified through a set of tags they shared to come up with a common title. The desire to talk about the traumatic without turning it into trauma porn, the desire to be open while retaining the right to close at any moment, and the desire to talk about oneself while trying to find common ground with others — these are the things that bring this event in Getamej together. Sound, an important element of each artist's work and a crucial component of all sonic laboratory events, is dissolved in the performativity here.

Kristina Sukharinova is a multidisciplinary artist, illustrator, animator, and graphic designer. Born in 1997 in Elista, Republic of Kalmykia, she comes from a Kalmyk-Armenian family. In 2014, she moved to Moscow to study German linguistics at Moscow State University and began her career as an illustrator, developing her visual language. Currently, Kristina resides and works in Moscow, Russia.

Adel Suleymanova is a multidisciplinary artist. She works with ceramics, sound and installation. She was born in the small city in Republic of Bashkortostan (Russia). She spent her childhood there. She graduated college of arts in Ufa in 2020. At the moment Adel works and lives in Ufa, Republic of Bashkortostan.

Pasha Shin is a multimodal artist working in the realms of material objects, sound, performance, and social media. Born in 2000 in the Moscow region, they first achieved cultural relevancy as a rapper in 2017. Gaining an audience through rap music and social media content became a platform for exploring technological, political, and psychological insights through visual, sound, and performance art. Currently, Pasha primarily reflects on the fluidity of identity in a global world and the dichotomy between existentialism and techno-optimism.
