Welcome on May 12 from 4 PM to Getamej residency in frames of the Sonic Laboratory program. Nico & Chris will be attempting a new mix of electronic and acoustic sound, picking up found tones, collected voices, and joining it all through the waves of their self-made instruments. They will pick from their traveling ecosystem of tools processing sound using a MIDI controller, and the subtle filtering of circuits emitting electromagnetic fields on their Chromaplane. And for this occasion, don't forget to bring your phone - you might want to use it to join in!

Passepartout Duo is a music group formed by Christopher Salvito and Nicoletta Favari. Since 2015, they have been on a continuous journey around the world, sharing their music and constantly discovering new ways to do so. The instruments they build have become a companion to their own travels and music, and sometimes take on a life of their own.

Drawing from a carefully selected palette of electro-acoustic textures and shapeshifting rhythms, Passepartout Duo’s work investigates the way in which we listen to and connect with sound. Reassessing the tools they use to create their music, the group is continually developing a specialized and evolving ecosystem of handmade musical instruments that have ranged from analog electronic circuits and conventional percussion, to room-size textile installations and found objects.
